Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Hackensack, New Jersey. Conceptual plans call for site work for a fire / police facility; sidewalk / parking lot; and for paving for a sidewalk / parking lot.
The work will include but is not limited to the installation, operation and maintenance of a closed-loop oxygenation and biological groundwater remediation system and related appurtenances designed to target and remediate free-phase petroleum product [light non-aqueous phase liquid (LNAPL)] located below the existing concrete floor slab beneath the firehouse parking bays. This shall include all site clearing, saw cutting and pavement removal, earthwork, removal and disposal of excavated soils, direct push drilling, well screens and piping, well vaults and covers, electrical components, system enclosure, and any other equipment or appurtenances required for a fully-functioning remediation system. This work shall also include site restoration, paving, and related appurtenances. Upon the completion of remediation operations, the Contractor shall be responsible for demobilization of the system and removal of the above grade portions of the system. The contractor is responsible for providing all labor, supervision, trade skills, materials, and equipment required for this project as described in the Construction Documents. The Contract will allow 575 calendar days for completion of the work from the notice to proceed. A certified check or cashiers check made payable to the order of the City of Hackensack, or a duly executed Bid Bond, in the amount of ten percent of each bid, but in no case in excess of $20,000.00 must be deposited by the Bidder together with a Surety Consent evidencing that They can obtain the required Performance Bond. The successful Bidder will be required to deliver to the Owner an executed Performance Bond of a responsible indemnity company authorized to do business in the State of New Jersey. C.52:32-44) If awarded a contract, your company/firm is required to comply with requirements of N.J.S.A. 10:5-31 et seq. and N.J.A.C. 17:27. The submitted Bid packages shall be complete with the Bid description and the name and address of the Bidder marked clearly on the outside of the envelope. The City of Hackensack reserves the right to consider Bids for sixty (60) days after their receipt. The right is reserved to waive any informalities, to accept bids which it deems most favorable to the interest of the City to make an award on each item separately or as a whole and to accept any Bid or to reject any or all Proposals in accordance with the Specifications and the Bid forms. Bids must be placed in sealed envelopes and received by mail or delivered in person to the City Clerks office located on the 3rd Floor, City of Hackensack, 65 Central Avenue, Hackensack, New Jersey 07601. Bids shall be made on the forms provided and made part of the Contract Documents, which SHALL be submitted in Triplicate, One Stamped Original, and Two Stamped Copies.
