As TTD plans for the future, it is necessary to evaluate our current administration, operations, and maintenance facilities and to begin planning for service and fleet improvements, including electrification. This RFP for the development of a Master Plan will help guide TTD's decision-making concerning future transit facility and administrative needs. TTD's current operations and maintenance facility, located at 1669 Shop Street, is leased from the City of South Lake Tahoe. The facility is outdated, lacks security and protected storage, and does not meet current maintenance capacity needs, let alone allow for needed expansion options due to the relatively small footprint of the property. With negotiations of a long-term lease agreement, certain site improvements and modifications could be undertaken to provide some complimentary uses, but such improvements are unlikely to satisfy current and future space needs due to limited capacity. This facility could be considered as a supplemental use to a new facility. The current leased administration offices are located at 128 Market Street, Stateline, Nevada.
