The New Trier Township High School District 203 Board of Education is accepting bids from precast architectural concrete contractors for precast architectural concrete thin brick insulated wall panels & precast concrete hollow core planks for a new locker room and restroom building at Duke Childs Field in Winnetka, Illinois. The precast architectural concrete contractor will become an assigned subcontractor to a general contractor to be selected at a later date. Bids will not be accepted from firms other than dedicated precast architectural concrete contractors. The scope of work includes providing all labor, materials, accessories, engineering, machinery, tools, equipment, and other means of construction necessary for completion of the work indicated in the Bid Documents including, but not necessarily limited to, the following: precast architectural concrete, precast concrete hollow core planks, and related miscellaneous steel, grout, and joint sealants. The work site is New Trier Township High School, Duke Childs Field athletic fields, 1321 Willow Road, Winnetka, IL 60093. On-site construction work is scheduled to commence during on Monday, June 12, 2023. Erection of the precast architectural wall panels and hollow core precast concrete roof plans must commence on Monday, July 10, 2023. Each bid must be accompanied by a bid security in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the Base Bid amount. The successful Bidder must furnish One Hundred Percent (100%) performance and labor and material payment bonds for the full amount of the Contract Sum base bid amount. The Contractor and all Subcontractors shall not pay less than the prevailing rates of wages to all laborers, workmen, and mechanics performing work under this contract, and shall comply with the requirements of the Illinois Wages of Employees on Public Works Act (820 ILCS 130/1-12). The Contractor and Subcontractors will be required to submit electronic copies of their certified payrolls for each application for payment through the Illinois Department of Labor's Prevailing Wage Portal. The New Trier Township High School District 203 Board of Education reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids, reject nonconforming bids, reject conditional bids, waive irregularities in the bidding procedures, or to accept any bid that, in its sole opinion, best serves the interests of the School District.
