The Board of Education, Berkeley School District #87 will receive sealed bids lump sum for Jefferson and Whittier Renovations and HLS Upgrades. This project includes renovations of the existing Media Centers in each building, general trades and structural work associated with the ongoing previously bid HVAC upgrades, and various Health and Life Safety work at Jefferson and Whittier Primary Schools as outlined in the documents. American Reprographics Company 640 North LaSalle Street, Suite 240, Chicago, Illinois, will have complete sets of the Bidding Documents available for download by prospective bidders and subcontractors. Make proposals on the bid forms supplied in the Project Manual. No oral, telegraphic or telephonic proposals or modifications will be considered. Submit with each bid, a certified check or acceptable bidder's bond payable to Board of Education, Berkeley School District #87, in an amount equal to ten percent (10%) of the total bid. The successful bidder will be required to furnish satisfactory Labor and Material Payment Bond, and Performance Bond. The successful bidder is required to pay the general prevailing wage for work as ascertained by the Illinois Department of Labor, and shall submit certified payroll records, in compliance with the Prevailing Wage Act (820 ILCS 130) and shall comply with all applicable Illinois statutory requirements regarding labor, including Equal Employment Opportunity laws. The successful bidder is required to provide insurance, and performance and labor and material payment bonds in the forms and amounts required by the bid documents. Bids may not be withdrawn within thirty (30) days after the scheduled time of opening bids, without the consent of the Owner. The Owner reserves the right to accept any bid or to reject any or all bids, or parts of such bids, and waive informalities or irregularities in bidding.
