North of the River Recreation and Park District (NOR) is seeking Bids for Greenacres Pool Deck Concrete Treatment. The Work shall be completed between May 15th, 2023, and June 9th, 2023, and ready for use no later than June 10th, 2023. All questions and RFIs shall be directed to the Bid Administrator at bids@norrecreation.org. Questions must be submitted on the RFI form included in the bid package. This Project requires a C-8 Contractor's License. Bidders are further notified that each Bid must be made on the Proposal Form furnished by NOR; Bids must be received on or before the date and hour above specified or such Bid will be rejected; all Bids timely received by NOR will be opened and publicly read at the above address and time. Each Bid shall be accompanied by a Certified Check or Bidder's Bond in the amount of ten (10) percent of the maximum total Bid. In addition, the successful Bidder shall be required to furnish a Faithful Performance Bond and a Labor and Materials Bond in the amounts set forth in the Specifications and General Conditions. Demo and Repairs: Supply labor and materials to demo and repour approximately 1, 200 sq. ft. of pool deck. Concrete shall be poured with a 3,000 PSI concrete mix design with #4 rebar at 18" on center, including 9" #4 rebar dowels at 24" OC, imbedded into the existing concrete 3". The remaining areas of existing concrete shall be inspected for any areas in need of epoxy repairs; this includes, but is not limited to, any cracks, pop-outs, divots and spalling. Repairs shall be made in such manner that create a smooth, even surface. Surface Preparation: All areas, approximately 5,600 sq. ft. to be coated, must be prepared for mechanical grip with a 40 grit Diamond Grinder, removing at least 1/32 nd of an inch or more, to complete a smooth, uniform, even surface prior to the pool deck coating installation. Contractor shall follow all manufacturer's recommendations for surface preparation prior to material coating. Pool deck coating: The required pool deck coating material is Pool Deck Plus Advanced Acrylic Coating "Adobe Buff Color" from Supreme Paints and Coatings or approved equal. Material shall have a minimum 10-year warranty. Deck coating shall be installed per manufacturers recommendation.
