As of Dec 12 the project was awarded to Gillespie Construction, no awarded amount available. The scope of work includes approximately 1,753CY unclassified excavation, grassing, and other miscellaneous work. Requests for Documents will be honored until forty eight (48) hours prior to the Bid Opening; no Documents will be issued after that time. All documents are available via electronic, digital (pdf) files to prospective Bidders at no charge. A certified check or a satisfactory Bid Bond executed by the Bidder and an acceptable surety company in an amount equal to five percent (5%) of the total amount Bid, but not to exceed $10,000.00, made payable to the City of Sumiton must be submitted with each bid. All Bidders must be properly licensed Alabama General Contractor, including proper classification. The Owner reserves the right to reject any and all Bids or to waive any informalities in the Bidding. No Bidder may withdraw his Bid within thirty (30) days after the actual date of the opening thereof.
