As of June 27, 2024, a design firm has been selected for the project. A firm timeline for construction has not been established. *The closed solicitation has been included below for reference: The DPMC is seeking to engage the services of a civil engineering firm and consulting team with the objective t decommission the Warren Mill Dam located on the Musconetcong River in Pohatcong Township, Warren County and in Holland Township, Hunterdon County. Hydraulic dredging, dewatering of dredged material, and final placement of dredged materials at a beneficial reuse site will be necessary prior to dam decommissioning. The Warren Mill Dam is a Class I, high hazard, dam located on the Musconetcong River in Pohatcong Township, Warren County and Holland Township, Hunterdon County. The structure is a 37-foot-high earthen dam with a concrete and stone masonry spillway. It is believed to be approximately 100 years old. Warren Glenn Investments, LLC owns the portion of the dam located in Holland Township, Hunterdon County. The State of New Jersey owns the portion of the dam located in Warren County. The Warren Mill Dam is not in compliance with the NJ Dam Safety Standards (N.J.A.C. 7:20) due to known spillway inadequacy and other stability issues.
