Renovation of a municipal facility in Longboat Key, Florida. Completed plans call for the renovation of a municipal facility.
The Town is soliciting proposals from qualified individuals, firms or both for the design, permitting and construction for improvements to Town Hall located at 501 Bay Isles Road, Longboat Key, Florida. Improvements include a roof upgrade or replacement; window and door replacement, and a generator replacement. The awarded firm shall provide all materials, equipment and labor. The Town's selection process for professional services is in accordance with Section 287.055, Florida Statutes (F.S.). A selection committee will evaluate the qualifications of all submitting firms meeting the minimum requirements as set forth herein. . Minority-Owned Business Enterprises and Woman-Owned Business Enterprises are encouraged to respond to this solicitation. Questions or requests for clarification regarding this Request for Proposals (RFP) must be submitted via email to Purchasing@longboatkey.org by 4:00 p.m., Friday, October 28, 2022 The Design-Build Firm will design and install: - New roof system including structural enhancements for roof support to bring the roof system to the current building standards for minimum 150-mph wind load, and - New window systems to protect all openings, including wind and impact resistant glazing. As an optional line item, window and opening shutters will be priced and reviewed, in lieu of replacing the existing, and - New 150-kW permanent generator, or the adequate size determined by the Design-Build Firm and/or an electrical engineer to appropriately support Town Hall. The Town will hold another site visit on Wednesday, November 9 at 10am at Town Hall. • Only the electrical room will be open for access • Questions will not be accepted as the deadline date has expired • This site visit is non-mandatory
