Renovation of a water / sewer project in New Bremen, Ohio. Completed plans call for the renovation of a water / sewer project.

The proposed project consists of removal of the Cation Exchange Resin and support gravel from four (4) 72 diameter Artesian Ion Exchange Softeners and replace with new support gravel and Purolite SSTC60 or other Shallow Shell Technology Resin equivalent. Work and materials supplied under this contract shall include the following: Professional Engineer (P.E.) drawings and submittal to Ohio EPA (If required) Proper Drain Down of Each Softener* Removal of Cation Exchange Resin and Support Gravel From Each Softener Professional Inspection of the Interior of Each Softener Including Bottom Anti-Vortex Distribution System Re-bedding of Softeners with 36 cu ft of NSF Approved Support Gravel and 113 cu ft of SSTC60 Resin per Softener Replacement of Manhole Gaskets as Needed Disinfection and Start up for Each Softener After Work is Completed *Arrangements must be made for at least 2 softeners to remain on-line at all times. STATEMENT OF QUALIFICATIONS The Village is seeking proposals from QUALIFIED FIRMS. A Statement of Qualifications is required to accompany the Proposal. The statement of qualifications must include: A list of at least 5 similar sized Cation Exchange Installations and Startup A list of 10 References for Municipal Water Treatment Equipment Improvements/Installations. Qualifications/Experience of Key Employees Responsible For the Project. Professional Engineer (P.E.) with experience working with Ohio EPA and a direct employee of the contractor. All Statement of Qualification requirements must be met or be capable of being met by the responding firm or the submittal will be disqualified as being non-responsive. An officer of the firm empowered to bind the firm in a contract shall sign the Statement of Qualification and any written responses to the village. Anticipated project schedule shall be included in the proposal. Late submissions will not be accepted. The Village of New Bremen reserves the right to reject any or all Bids, waive irregularities in any Bid, and to accept any Bid which is deemed by the Village to be most favorable to the Village.
