Project Description Pavement base repair is required at the Pier 78-80 Terminal for large potholes that have developed and deteriorated in a high traffic area where machinery routinely fuels up and trucks queue, largely along rail tracks. See attached marked up arial photo. - Red marked areas: o 2" mill and overlay track sections. o Mix designs used should be 3 to < 10 million ESALS, WMA, and PG 64-22 - Green marked areas: o 14" full depth repair; consisting of geofabric at subgrade, followed by 6" 2A subbase, 4" 25 mm base course, 2" 19mm binder course, 2" 12.5 mm wearing course. o Mix designs used should be 3 to < 10 million ESALS, WMA, and PG 64-22 - Blue marked area in section F: o 14" full depth repair; consisting of geofabric at subgrade, followed by 6" 2A subbase, 8" plain cement concrete pad. o Since this is an active terminal, the concrete pad will need to be staged to allow the terminal forklifts to fill up while the concrete sets. Bidders will provide PhilaPort with a lump sum bid price to perform the necessary repairs.
