Miacomet Pond is a statutory Great Pond under the laws of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts and a major public recreation resource on Nantucket. The Town of Nantucket is looking to develop the design of Miacomet Pond Dredging Project. This project requires considerable planning, engineering design and extensive permitting. The process is expected to take at least six months to complete, with permit approvals sometimes taking over one year to receive approval from the state following the submittal. Time Period for Completed Project 1 year The Town of Nantucket invites qualified responders to submit proposals for a one year contract for Miacomet Pond Dredging Design Project. Land Assessment; Concept Plan and 401 Sediment Sampling Plan; Bathymetry and Sediment Depth Survey with Sediment Sampling; Engineering and Design; Permitting Pathway and MEPA Filing; Local, State, and Federal Permitting The Method of Contractor Selection has not been determined at this time.
