As of March 14, 2024, an architect has been selected and this project is in the design phase. Architect information has not been determined. It is anticipated construction will start in spring 2025. *The closed solicitation has been included below for reference: The Lowell Community Charter Public School ("Owner") is seeking the services of a qualified OPM "Owner's Project Manager" as defined in M.G.L. c. 149, 44A 1/2 and as further defined by the provisions of this RFS, to provide Project Management Services for the design, construction, addition to and /or renovation of the Lowell Community Charter Public School ("School") in Lowell, Massachusetts ("Project"). This is not an MSBA Project. The Owner is requesting the services of an OPM to represent the Owner during the schematic design phase of the project initially. Subject to the approval of the Owner, and further subject to continued funding authorized by the Owner, the contract between the Owner and the Owner's Project Manager may be amended to include continued Project Management Services through design development, construction documents, bid and award, construction and final closeout of the potential Project. A potential approved Project may include a renovation of the existing School, a renovation and addition of the existing School and/or new construction. The estimated total project costs of an approved potential Project may range from ($30,000,000 to $38,000,000) for a new Performing Arts Center and Gymnasium, depending upon the solution that is agreed upon by the Owner and the School Building Committee. The Method of Contractor Selection has not been determined at this time. *The value for this project is based on a financial range.
