The Contractor will be required to be familiar with Acts and Regulations administered by Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) to ensure Services are delivered in a manner that meets the requirements of the Acts, SSOP's and supports the Province in its efforts to maintain its various registrations, licences and certifications for the FPDC and APBI. The Services include general janitorial services, but will also require delivery of specialized sanitation services for food processing rooms and equipment which will include the use of chemicals in confined spaces. Sanitation standard operating procedures will be provided and located in an easy access binder. Equipment to be cleaned may include the following processing equipment: - value added meat processing - condiment and fluid processing - dairy - bakery - milling - extraction - spray drying - enrobing - coating value adding - thermal processing The Services are generally delivered late in the day and into the evening after the close of the business for the day. Services may also be required on weekends. The period of service delivery is generally Monday to Friday from 4:30 p.m. until scheduled Services are completed. However, the Province may require Service Delivery during a different period of time based on the needs of the FPDC and APBI as the Province, acting reasonably, deems necessary. The number of actual hours required to carry out the Services vary from week to week and are not guaranteed. The Services scheduled by the Province is dependent upon the activity within the FPDC and APBI. While the following does not guarantee the number of Hours of Service, the Province has requested Services that have been equivalent to 10,000 Hours of Service per year or approximately 200 Hours of Service per week (based on 50 weeks per year).
