Renovation of a municipal facility in West Orange, New Jersey. Completed plans call for the renovation of a municipal facility.
The Township of West Orange Notice is hereby given that sealed bids will be received by a Township Committee for Municipal Building, Interior Improvements & Repairs Phase I, located at 66 Main Street in the Township of West Orange, County of Essex. The major items of construction include, but not limited to the following: clean, fix & paint designated walls, provide new interior flooring/ wall base, repair/ replace ceiling tiles, replace all plumbing fixtures in private toilet rooms, remove all through window/wall mechanical units and all associated support/mounting & providing solid panels at windows & infill masonry wall opening at exterior walls, & providing window treatment. The work shall be completed within 120 (One hundred & twenty) calendar days after the date of the Notice to Proceed in accordance with the contract. All General Contractors and Suppliers are invited to attend. At this time, the Prospective Bidders will have the opportunity to examine the existing site conditions. Bids must be enclosed in sealed envelopes, bearing the name and address of the bidder, the name of the job, the time and date designated for the receipt of bids, addressed to the Purchasing Agent of the Township of West Orange, and must be accompanied by a Non-Collusion Affidavit and a Certified Check or Bid Bond for not less than ten percent (10%) of the amount bid, provided said check not be more than $20,000 nor shall not be less than $500 and delivered at the place on the hour named above. The Standard Proposal Form and Non-Collusion Affidavit are attached to the supplemental specifications, copies of which will be furnished on application to the Municipal Engineer. The Township of West Orange reserves the right to waive any informalities and to reject any or all bids. No bidder may with draw his bid within sixty (60) days after the actual date of opening thereof. The Township of West Orange reserves the right to reject any or all Bids, or to waive any Bid defect where such defect is not detrimental to the best interest of The Township of West Orange and fairness of the bidding process. The right is also reserved to increase the quantities specified in the manner designated in the Contract Documents. ALL CONTRACTORS AND SUB-CONTRACTORS are required to be registered by the New Jersey Department of Labor at the time bids will be received by the Project Owner pursuant to the Public Works Contractor Registration Act (P.L. 2003, c. 91, N.J.S.A. 34:11-56.51). Effective September 1, 2004, ALL Contractors and Sub-Contractors are also required to be registered by the New Jersey Department of Treasury, Division of Revenue at the time bids will be received by the Project Owner pursuant to the Business Registration Act (P.L. 2004, c. 57, N.J.S.A. 52:32-44). The Contractor and their sub-contractors shall provide the above certificates with the bid being submitted. Bidders are required to comply with the requirements of P.L. 1975, c. 127. (NJAC 17:27) (Affirmative Action), of P.L. 1963, c. 150 (Prevailing Wages), and P.L. 1977, c. 33 (Disclosure Statement). ESSEX COUNTY ESSEX COUNTY DIVISION OF HOUSING AND COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT PUBLIC NOTICE COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT (CDBG) FUNDS COUNTYWIDE PUBLIC HEARING ON THE SUBSTANTIAL AMENDMENT TO THE PY 2020 ONE YEAR ACTION PLAN In accordance with the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development regulations governing the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Program, the County of Essex hereby notifies the public of its intent to amend its PY 2020 One Year Action Plan. Citizens of Essex County are invited to attend a public hearing on November 10, 2022 at 4:00 PM. This hearing will afford citizens the opportunity to assist in the review of the amendment proposed by the Essex County Division of Housing & Community Development prior to its submission to the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development on or after November 28, 2022. The public hearing is scheduled as follows: TIME: 4:00 P.M. DATE: November 10, 2022 PLACE: County of Essex, Division of Housing & Community Development 20 Crestmont Road, Verona, New Jersey 07044 The Division of Housing & Community Development will be accepting public comments for a period of thirty (30) days beginning October 24, 2022 and concluding November 23, 2022. The proposed substantial amendment to the PY 2020 One Year Action Plan is as follows: For PY 2020, the Township of Nutley was awarded $95,000 to install an ADA compliant elevator at the public library located at 93 Booth Drive, Nutley. Due to significantly higher than anticipated costs, the township is requesting additional contingency funding of $82,950, which would yield a total grant award of to cover the total cost for the proposed elevator. These funds will be drawn from funds returned by CDBG funded activities that did not expend the full amounts of their grant awards and would not impact any other CDBG activity.
