The Fairfield-Suisun Sewer District (District) operates the Fairfield-Suisun Wastewater Treatment Plant (FSWWTP) in Fairfield, CA. The treatment plant process includes digestion of primary and secondary sludge using two anaerobic digesters. The two digesters were constructed in 1980, and are of cast-in-place reinforced concrete construction. They have fixed dome covers, also constructed of cast-in-place concrete with pre-stressed dome edge rings around the top of the digester walls to support loads from the covers.
