The project entails providing and installing Combination Toilets in rooms 3, 4, 6, 7, 8, of the South wing of the Marin County Juvenile Hall facility per specifications. Remove, provide and install larger plumbing maintenance access doors at six (6) locations per plans and specifications. 1. The Engineer's estimated cost for the accomplishment of this work is $127,500. Bids are required for the entire work described herein. 2. The Contractor shall possess a valid Class "B" General Building Contractors License at time of bid submittal. 3. To bid on this Project, the Bidder and all subcontractors are required to be registered as a public works contractor with the Department of Industrial Relations pursuant to the Labor Code. The Bidder's and all subcontractors' registration must remain active throughout the term of the Contract. 4. A Bid Bond in the amount of 10% of the total bid amount payable to the County of Marin shall accompany the Proposal. 5. Award of contract, if awarded, will be to the lowest responsible bidder whose proposal complies with prescribed requirements, and will be within thirty (30) days after receipt of proposals. The Board of Supervisors of the County of Marin reserves the right to reject any or all bids and the right to waive any irregularities. 6. The provisions of California Public Contract Code 22300, regarding substitution of securities for monies withheld to ensure performance shall apply to this contract. 7. It is not a violation of this section for an unregistered contractor to submit a bid that is authorized by Section 7029.1 of the Business and Professions Code or by Section 10164 or 20103.5 of the Public Contract Code, provided the contractor is registered to perform public work pursuant to Section 1725.5 of the Labor Code at the time the contract is awarded. This project is subject to compliance monitoring and enforcement by the Department of Industrial Relations. 11. This contract is subject to state contract nondiscrimination and compliance requirements pursuant to Government Code, Section 12990. 12.
