Housing Rehabilitation Bid - Berlin HVAC. Worcester County Commissioners are currently accepting bids for installation of an HVAC system at a single-family home located in the Berlin area of Worcester County. Bid specification packages and bid forms are available to licensed HVAC contractors Bids will be reviewed by staff and awarded by the County Commissioners at a future meeting. In awarding the bids, the Commissioners reserve the right to reject any and all bids, waive formalities, informalities and technicalities therein, and to take whatever bids they determine to be in the best interest of the County considering lowest or best bid, quality of goods and work, time of delivery or completion, responsibility of bidders being considered, previous experience of bidders with County contracts, or any other factors they deem appropriate

All other inquiries shall be directed to Davida Washington, at 410-632-1200, ext. 1171. Contractor is to obtain all necessary permits. Remove existing gas furnace. Provide and install new heat pump system with interior air handler with back up resistance coils and exterior compressor unit
with stand. New system shall be a 16 SEER Energy Star rated unit with a programmable thermostat. The system shall be sized in accordance with the ACCA's Manual "J" or other recognized methodology.
Energy Star rated Heat- Pump is to be capable of heating interior to 78 F when exterior temperature is 0 degrees F in all habitable and essential rooms. The system is to include all vents, vent covers,
returns, ducts, and pad for exterior compressor unit, as well as all necessary electrical and plumbing
connections. All ductwork shall be well supported, sealed with mastic, and insulated in un-condition
areas per current Code. Contractor is to haul away all construction related debris
