The project involves the inspection and rehabilitation of three municipal wells. The City of Lakeville is seeking bids for the rehabilitation of three submersible pump wells. In general, this project includes (but not limited to): pre-rehabilitation motor and pumping testing, removal and inspection of: submersible pump and motor, drop pipe (approximately 250'-300' in depth each), pump bowls, impellers and valves; wire brushing and televising of well casing, installation of three (3) sample taps and re-installation of pump and motor equipment. Sand removal may be required based on televised inspection findings. 1.01 SCOPE The work to be completed includes all labor, materials, equipment, utilities, appurtenances, and operations necessary for the rehabilitation of municipal Well #13 located at 9471 176th St. W., municipal Well #15 located at 9633 192nd St. W. and municipal Well #16 located at 18988 Iron River Trl. 1.02 DESCRIPTION OF WORK A. Mobilization/Demobilization. B. Perform a test pump on the well using existing equipment through Contractor provided piping and flow meter. C. Test and refurbish motor. Deliver existing motor to a motor repair shop and retrieve for reinstallation. D. Remove existing down hole equipment and sound hole for depth. E. Wire brush and televise well. F. Air lift sandstone- air surging/decompressing. (if needed) G. Furnish and install two (2) -1" PVC sounding tubes. H. Reinstall submersible motor, pump, piping and connect all electrical, mechanical, and piping components. I. Remove, disassemble, calibrate and reinstall flow meter. J. Remove, disassemble, inspect and reinstall check valve. K. Furnish and install pitless sample tap at each well. L. Disinfect and flush well to obtain water sample for analysis. M. Complete bacteriological test. (sample taken by City, tested by third party) N. Complete test pumping. O. Start up well and other components. All costs incurred by the Contractor.
