The City of Sedalia, Missouri is requesting qualifications for utility infrastructure improvements including design and engineering services for large water distribution and wastewater collection, geotechnical engineering and geologic services, surveying services and construction observationinspection. Multiple contracts may be awarded as a result of this solicitation. The City will, at its sole discretion, determine the number of contracts awarded, and may decide not to award any contracts. This Request for Qualifications RFQ includes two large projects 1 for extension of a sewer main from the City of Sedalias W. 32 St. Lift Station located adjacent to 3420 W. 32nd St., Sedalia, MO 65301 to a new lift station approx. 8,100 linear feet southsoutheast near the Prairie Hollow Development; and 2 for extension of a 16 water main approx. 3,550 linear feet west and then southsoutheast from the Citys existing 16 ductile iron main located approx. 1,125 linear feet from the east edge of the Katy Trail on W. 32nd St., the total length of the extension will be approx. 3,550 linear feet. Potentially other similar sized and larger projects may be added from time-to-time to the agreements under additional task orders. The City is not responsible for any costs incurred in connection with responding to this RFQ and is not responsible for any respondents failure to deliver one or more of the required documents by the required date, time and place stated above. The City of Sedalia procures the services of professional engineers in accordance with RSMo Sections 8.285 to 8.291, policy on contracts for architectural, engineering, and land surveying services. Planned funding for the first 2 projects includes American Rescue Plan Act State and Local Fiscal Recovery Funds ARPA-SLFRF funds and local funds. The primary objective of this project is to build water distribution and sanitary sewer capacity for areas of the community that are underserved; are not presently served by the Citys water distribution system or sanitary sewer collection system and experiencing growth; or where existing infrastructure requires replacement. The City of Sedalia reserves the right to reject any and all responses to this RFQ and to waive irregularities in any statement of qualifications. All sub-mittals will become the property of the City. Firms are hereby notified that contact with City staff or officials other than through the Public Works Executive Administrative Assistant for the purpose of submitting questions or seeking clarification of the RFQ materials is prohibited and may be grounds for disqualification from consideration. The method of contractor selection has not been determined at this time.
