Site work for a water / sewer project in Lakeland, Florida. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
Construction of a new 1,175 LF of 12" forcemain and 1200 LF of 24" gravity sewer system. The new forcemain will parallel an existing 8" vitrified clay (VCP) gravity sanitary sewer line on Lynncrest Road and Richmond Road that is to remain in place and in-service and will tie into a new 24" gravity sanitary sewer system that will be replacing the existing 10" vitrified clay (VCP) gravity sanitary sewer system on Sylvester Road. Question Deadline 08/21/2024 at 5:00 PM ET Bonding - In the event the contract is awarded to the successful Respondent, he/she will, within ten (10) days thereafter, enter into a written contract with the City of Lakeland, or accept a City of Lakeland purchase order. The successful Bidder shall also furnish within ten (10) days; a PUBLIC CONSTRUCTION BOND IN COMPLETE ACCORDANCE WITH SECTION 255.05 OF THE FLORIDA STATUTES in an amount equal to the contract price as a guarantee of good faith that the Bidder will execute the work in accordance with the terms of the contract and that the Bidder shall make payments for all labor, material and supplies used directly or indirectly for the work. Failure to do so will constitute forfeiture of the bid security as liquidated damages The City of Lakeland at its sole discretion reserves the right to waive technicalities or irregularities, to reject any or all proposals, and/or to accept that proposal which is in the best interest of the City.
