Project Name: I-19 to Pena Blanca Lake Project (TRACS) Number: F0576 01D District: Southcentral Route/MP: SR 289 / MP 0 Funding Source: 100% State Construction Funding FY: FY 2025 This pavement rehabilitation project is located west of I-19 at the Ruby Road TI in Santa Cruz County, north of the City of Nogales. The majority of the project is within the limits of the Coronado National Forest. Coronado National Forest is a stakeholder on this project. Initial MPD scoping includes removal of 2.5 inches of existing AC pavement and replacing with 2 inches of 416 AC, 3/4 inch mix and 0.5 inch TR+ chip seal. Additional work includes removal of existing guardrail; determine new length of need for guardrail; upgrade guardrail to MASH standards; embankment curb; new cattle guards; tree removal as necessary; repair or replacement of existing low flow drainage features; replacement of damaged culvert end sections and riprap; 21,000+ feet of new R/W fencing; sign upgrades; and pavement markings. During the scoping phase, the junction with I-19 shall be evaluated to determine needs. Anticipated submittals include Initial and Final Scoping Letter, Clearances, Stage II, Stage III, Stage IV, and PS&E. The Consultant shall provide supplemental survey as needed (full R/W to R/W survey is not anticipated), environmental reports and coordination with EP, and utility identification and coordination. Pavement design will be handled by ADOT. The Consultant shall provide necessary project management tasks including coordination, meetings, project schedule updates and comment responses. Document retention, project schedule, and risk register updates shall be completed within the Work front platform.
