Future upgrades to the Halifax Harbour Bridges. TIMELINE: As of November 2022, The Halifax - Dartmouth Bridge Commission awarded proposals from qualified engineering proponents to provide competent and responsible expertise and professional engineering services. HHB is initiating this bearing investigation as a result of recommendations from previous Annual Inspections of the PMO, VRO and WRO. The purpose of this investigation is to assess conditions to determine the future of the following bridge abutment bearings: PMO East Abutment Bearings VRO South Abutment Bearings WRO West Abutment Bearings. Further project schedules are undetermined at this time. The Method of Contractor Selection has not been determined at this time.
