Renovation of a fire / police facility in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia. Completed plans call for the renovation of a fire / police facility.
Since construction in 2013, the level 1 garage wing, which is served by AHU-6, 7 & 8, has been experiencing high humidity and floor condensation issues leading to frequent complaints from the tenant. The issues are most pronounced in the late spring, summer, and early fall months at times when outside humidity is high. A Performance Bond and Labour and Materials Payment Bond, Each in the Amount of 50% of the Contract Price Provide new rooftop 100% outdoor air units to replace AHU 7 & 8. Revised sequence of controls will be required to operate units in dehumidification mode. Addition of a new HRV will be installed which will provide outside air/exhaust to washrooms and workshops which will be connected to the BAS.
