As of March 28, 2023, an architect has been selected and this project is in the design status. A firm timeline for construction has not been determined *The closed solicitation has been included below for reference: The City of Park Ridge (City) invites qualified architectural firms to submit written proposals for professional architectural services to complete architectural project design, prepare contract and permit documents and provide construction administration services for the Park Ridge City Hall Security Upgrades Project -CP&D-22-09. Each firm submitting a proposal for this work shall be hereinafter referred to as "Consultant." The City intends to enter into a contract with the chosen Consultant. The selected Consultant must have the expertise, experience, and demonstrated resources available to perform the work described in this RFP. Should an award be made, the selected Consultant will enter into a professional services agreement with the City of Park Ridge to provide these services. Proposals must be received in a sealed envelope marked with the Proposal name and number listed above. Proposals transmitted by fax or email will not be accepted. Any communication regarding this invitation between the date of issue and date of award is to be directed to the Procurement Officer listed below. Unauthorized contact with other City Employees is strictly forbidden. After the Proposals are opened, no proposer may communicate with the City about the contents of their proposal or any other proposal except in response to direct questions. Approval by City Council Jan 2023 It is the City's desire to select a highly qualified firm to provide architectural design services for redesign of the service counters at the City Hall's Administration Department, Finance Department, Public Works Department and Community Preservation & Development Department located at 505 Butler Place, Park Ridge, IL 60068. The City Hall building was constructed in 1962 and renovated/expanded in 1986. The building contains the four Departments noted above that are located on the first and second floors and operate generally from 8:00am to 5:00pm M-F. The Police Department is located in the lower level of City Hall and operates 24 hours a day / 7 days a week. It is vital to this project's plan that all of the Departments are able to operate from this location throughout the entirety of the renovation project. Firms will be required to include a plan or multiple plan options for the continuity of City operations in their proposal. The interior of the building has gone through many minor interior renovations to adapt to the changing needs and dynamics of the Departments over the decades since it was first constructed. Extensive renovations to the Police Department were recently completed, therefore their Department is not included in this Project's scope of work. A study of the remaining Departments was completed in September 2022 and included security improvement recommendations at each Department's service counter. A copy of this study is included with this RFP and shall be used as a basis for the design development of the project. The Method of Contractor Selection has not been determined at this time.
