Asbestos Abatement, Demolition and Site Clearance INVITATION FOR BIDS THE PROJECT CONSISTS OF ASBESTOS ABATEMENT, DEMOLITION AND SITE CLEARANCE OF: Five-story commercial building with one-story attachment, approximately 34,200 SF and abatement of 900 SF of caulking and 1,000 SF of plaster An electronic copy of the Specification Documents will be provided at no charge and will be made available to interested bidders for the Project. A certified check or bank draft, payable to the order of the Redevelopment Authority of the County of Westmoreland, negotiable U.S. Government bonds, or a satisfactory Bid Bond executed by the Bidder and an acceptable surety authorized to do business in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, in an amount equal to ten percent (10%) of the estimated cost of Demolition and Site Clearance, shall The successful bidde be required to furnish and pay satisfactory performance/payment/maintenance bonds. Notice is also hereby given that this project is regulated under Executive Order 11246 Equal Employment Opportunity Prime contractors should use the Directory of Minority, Women and Section 3 Business Enterprises to solicit proposals from potential subcontractors. This project is funded in whole or in part with federal and state funds. Federal and state requirements apply and are included in the bid documents. The Authority reserves the right to reject any or all proposals or any part thereof, for any reason, and reserves the right to waive any informalities in the bidding. Bids may be held by the Redevelopment Authority of the County of Westmoreland for a period not to exceed ninety (90) days from the date of the opening of the bids for the purpose of reviewing the bids and investigating the qualifications of the bidders, prior to awarding the Contract. Bids may be held until the release of funds and historic clearance.
