Site work and paving for a road / highway in Sipes Mill, Pennsylvania. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; and for paving for a road / highway.
Asphalt Resurfacing. This project provides for the furnishing all labor, material, equipment and work necessary to perform the asphalt resurfacing of Turnpike roadway, reprofiling of the bridge B-433, drainage and safety improvements, placement of erosion and sediment pollution controls, maintenance and protection of traffic during construction, and pavement markings. Work items include, but are not limited to: 20,385 CY Excavation, Class 1, Class 1A, Class 1B 15,325 TON Stone Matrix Asphalt Mixture Design Wearing Course 8,228 TON Superpave Asphalt Mixture Design Wearing Course 33,290 TON Superpave Asphalt Mixture Design Binder Course 12,476 TON Subbase (No. 2A) 19,938 LF Type 31-S Guide Rail 14,284 LF Single Face Concrete Barrier, 52" 22,296 LF Concrete Median Barrier, 50" Milepost 179.91 is located approximately 0.1 mile east of the Fort Littleton Interchange, Exit 180, and Milepost 184.24 is located approximately 4.8 miles west of the Willow Hill Interchange, Exit 189, in Fulton and Huntingdon Counties, Pennsylvania. The proposal and plans are published electronically in EBS and are available to registered business partners for downloading and printing. An electronic bid bond, from an approved vendor, with corporate surety, in the amount of five (5%) percent of the bid must be submitted with the proposal as bid security. The bid security of the three (3) low bidders will be retained until the execution of the contract. (The normal time for execution of the contract is approximately four [4] weeks.) A Prequalification Certification and Applicable Capacity Rating assigned by the Prequalification Office of the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation is a necessary prerequisite for bidding on this project. The opening and listing of bids not meeting all the terms and conditions of the bid advertisement or bid procedures does not act as a waiver or modification of any requirements contained in the bid advertisement or bid procedure. The Provisions of the Pennsylvania Prevailing Wage Act of August 15, 1961, P.L. 987, as amended, together with the rates and regulations promulgated by the Secretary of Labor and Industry applicable thereto, shall apply to this contract.
