Transportation and Disposal of wastewater treatment sludge The Contract period will begin for a three-year term, commencing on January 1, 2023 and ending on December 31, 2025 Each Bid shall contain the information required by and be submitted in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders. The successful bidder will be required to furnish a Payment Bond in the amount of fifty percent (50%) of the contract amount. To receive consideration, Bids shall be submitted on the appropriate forms no later than the above date and time schedule for the opening. Bids must be accompanied by a bid security in the amount of five percent ( 5%) of the Bid Price in the form of a bid bond or certified treasurer's or cashier's check issued by a responsible bank or trust company. If upon acceptance of the bid, a Bidder fails to enter into a contract with the Town of Uxbridge, the bid security shall be forfeited to and become the property of the Town. Bidders may not withdraw their Bids for a period of thirty days, excluding Saturdays, Sundays and legal holidays, after the actual date of the opening of the Bids. The bids and award of this contract will be under the provisions of M.G.L. Chapter 30B, as amended, to the lowest cost responsible and responsive bidder. The Town of Uxbridge reserves the right to reject any and all bids, or to award or not to award the contract for any reason the Town Manager determines to be in the Town's and/or the public's best interest.
