DFCM Construction VBS - UVU McKay Education Building Student Success Center A/E Services. The State of Utah - Division of Facilities Construction and Management (DFCM) is requesting submittals for consultant services on the following project: Project Name: School of Education Student Success Center Agency: Utah Valley University Utah Valley University is a rapidly growing institution for higher education. The School of Education located in the Mckay Education Building needs expansion to accommodate the department's growth. A previous study and concept document from June 11, 2021 by Curtis Miner Architecture is being furnished as a reference for this design solicitation. A full program, structural/mechanical/electrical narratives, landscape design, geotechnical report, and site survey were not performed as a part of this study. Through the addition study/concept and CBE process it was determined that the building would be one story approximately 6,310 square feet. The project concept has a main entrance that reflects the architecture and aesthetic of the rest of the recent construction projects located on the UVU campus (e.g. The Nellesen Building and new Alumni Center) welcome area (552 SF), advising and student success areas (1,612 SF), collaboration/study space/classroom (2,582 SF), coordinators space (989 SF) and additional support space (575 SF). UVU and DFCM will be working in concert with the selected design firm to establish the exact allocation of square footages required to meet the program requirements. The selection shall be under the Value Based Selection method.
