Saving Project...

Renovation of an educational facility in Chattanooga, Tennessee. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.

This project will construct a health sciences teaching facility and simulated lab space for the School of Nursing. There will be state-of-the art classrooms, student study spaces, and labs. The Health Sciences Building will be a new interdisciplinary education building for the SON at a prominent location on campus, thereby allowing growth of these nursing programs and helping fulfill regional shortages. There will be state-of-the art classrooms, a hi-fidelity simulation center, and various types of student study spaces and learning environments including experiential labs for teaching. Specific project parameters and details are cited in the Health Sciences Building Program Documents dated July 2021. The total project budget of this project as approved by the State Building Commission is $60,800,000 with a Bid Target of $40,373,000 which will be established for the Guaranteed Maximum Price (GMP) Target. Throughout the course of the PreConstruction Phase, the GMP Target is subject to change at the Owner's sole discretion Construction services duration (to the contractual Substantial Completion) is 18 months beginning March 2023 and ending September 2024.
