Project consists of a Unit Price bid for the removal of accumulated biosolids from an existing LAS Storage Pond using hydraulic dredging methods and dewatering on-site as indicated herein; all site work required including, but not limited to, dredging, on-site dewatering; all costs associated with pumping, removal, and off-site disposal where indicated including transport services necessary for disposal at agronomic rates of dewatered biosolids on City permitted fields; soil erosion and sediment control; and all appurtenances necessary all as further described in the Plans and Contract Documents. Payment of the Contract Amount will be made on a periodic basis on applications for payment from the Contractor and approved by the ENGINEER based on work accomplished, products furnished and products stored on the site. Time allotted for completion of work is 90 calendar days. All Work shall be completed in accordance with the Plans and Specifications. The Work will be awarded in one (1) Contract. All bids must be accompanied by a Bid Bond in an amount not less than ten percent (10%) of the amount bid. The Successful Bidder, if awarded the Contract, will be required to furnish a Performance Bond and Payment Bond, each in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the Contract amount. The OWNER reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to waive formalities, to re-advertise, or to procure the project by other means. Contractors bidding on this Project and their Sub-Contractors will be required to comply with all Federal, State, territorial, and local laws. Bidder must comply with Executive Order No. 11246 as emended, entitled Equal Employment Opportunity and with the Copeland Anti-Kickback Act (18 U.S.C 874) as supplemented in the Department of Labor Regulations (29 CFR, Part 3). Successful Bidder will be required to perform Work as the Prime Contractor. Work performed by Prime Contractor shall be 50% minimum. Surety companies executing Bonds must appear on the Treasury Departments most current list (Circular 570 as amended) and be authorized to transact business in the state where the project is located.
