The City Baytown, TX is accepting responses from highly-qualified and experienced consulting firms that can demonstrate they have the expertise, resources, experience, and qualifications to provide professional services associated with the development of a Broadband Needs Assessment and Master Plan for the incorporated areas of the City of Baytown and within the Goose Creek Consolidated Independent School District boundaries. The plan is intended to identify where the City of Baytown could benefit from broadband, existing fiber, 5G, or next generation wireless infrastructure, existing internet service providers and speeds, and future growth. The principal objective of the Plan is for the City to collect information and data that will guide future broadband expansion and growth within the Citys incorporated area and GCCISD boundary for the primary benefit of education, economic development, emerging business opportunities and public facilities. The method of contractor selection has not been determined at this time.
