Renovation of a mixed-use development in Geneva, Illinois. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.
The Geneva Community Unit School District 304 Board of Education is accepting bids only from gymnasium flooring refinishing contractors for a gymnasium floor refinishing project at Geneva Middle School South and Fabyan Elementary School in Geneva, Illinois. The floor refinishing contractor will function as the project general contractor. Bids will not be accepted from firms other than floor finishing contractors. The scope of work includes providing all labor, materials, accessories, engineering, machinery, tools, equipment, and other means of construction necessary for completion of the work indicated in the Bid Documents including, but not necessarily limited to, the following: temporary protection, dust control, limited wood gymnasium floor repairs, floor sanding, installing floor sleeves, painting game lines, and floor finishing. The work sites are Geneva Middle School South, 1415 Viking Drive, and Fabyan Elementary School, 0S350 Grengs Lane, in Geneva, IL 60134. The on-site construction is scheduled to commence during the district's 2023 summer break starting approximately on Tuesday, June 6, 2023, with a Substantial Completion date on Friday, August 4, 2023. Liquidated damages apply to the Substantial Completion date.
