Lincolnshire Riverwoods Fire Protection District is accepting sealed bids for insulation (loose blown in) installation of its satellite station #52. The project is for the installation of blown-in loose insulation as per the project scope. The project includes obtaining any permits as required by the Village of Riverwoods, the insulation of loose blown insulation over the existing insulation in two attic spaces with the end R value of R55 or greater totaling ~8,800sf. Air Seal all applicable attic penetrations including but not limited to chimney chase, stack pipes, exhaust fans, plumbing penetrations and other penetrations into conditioned space. Installation of vent chutes/baffles in attic area where the rafters meet the soffit. Installation of insulated rigid board insulation on the back of two access hatches. Installation of insulation around air duct in attic. Hauling away all job-related construction debris. All bids shall remain valid for no fewer than 90 days after the bid opening date. Performance and Payment Bonds in the amount of 100% of the total contract amount will be required within 10 days of the award of the Contract. The Lincolnshire-Riverwoods Fire Protection District reserves the right to reject any or all bids received, to waive any formalities of technicalities of the Bid or to reject any non-responsive bid in the interest of the Lincolnshire-Riverwoods Fire Protection District.
