Renovation of a water / sewer project in Riverwoods, Illinois. Completed plans call for the renovation of a water / sewer project.
As of April 7, 2020 this project is awarded. No start date set yet. The project involves repainting the exterior only of a 50,000 gallon spheroid water tank located at 1200 Saunders Road in the Village of Riverwoods. The water line is 100 feet from ground level and was constructed in 1962. The tower is currently not in service and will not be brought into service during or after this project. The scope of the improvements includes existing paint removal and new paint applied to the exterior only. A containment curtain will be required during the existing paint removal. The tower currently holds various antenna/cables and will continue to serve this purpose after the project. Antenna's will be removed by vendors prior to construction.
