Bids are invited for several items and quantities of work as follows: Base Bid - Furnish and install approximately 2,750 feet of 12" waterline and associated work
Additive Alternate - Furnish and install approximately 400 feet of 8" waterline and associated work
Additive Alternate - Furnish and install approximately 560 feet of 6" waterline and associated work
Additive Alternate - Furnish and install approximately 265 feet of 12" waterline and associated work
A bid bond in the amount of 5 percent of the bid issued by an acceptable surety shall be submitted with each bid. A certified check or bank draft payable to the CITY OF TRINITY or negotiable U.S. Government Bonds (as par value) may be submitted in lieu of the Bid Bond. The successful Bidder will be required to furnish a Performance Bond, Payment Bond and Maintenance Bond each in the amount of the contract. The award will be made on the basis of the lowest responsive, responsible bidder. The project will be financed with assistance from the Texas Department of Agriculture (TDA) under the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) program and is subject to all applicable Federal and State laws and regulations. Attention is called to the fact that not less than, the federally determined prevailing (Davis-Bacon and Related Acts) wage rate, as issued by the Texas Department of Agriculture Office of Rural Affairs and contained in the contract documents, must be paid on this project. In addition, the successful bidder must ensure that employees and applicants for employment are not discriminated against because of race, color, religion, sex, sexual identity, gender identity, or national origin. Section 3, Minority Business Enterprises, and Women Business Enterprises, and Historically Underutilized Business firms are encouraged to submit bids. The CITY OF TRINITY reserves the right to reject any or all bids or to waive any informalities in the bidding. Bids may be held by CITY OF TRINITY for a period not to exceed 75 days from the date of the bid opening for the purpose of reviewing the bids and investigating the bidder s qualifications prior to the contract award. Adherence to the grant recipient s Section 3 Policy is required for all contracts and subcontracts. All contractors/subcontractors whose System for Award Management (SAM.gov) registration is not active or that are debarred, suspended or otherwise excluded from or ineligible for participation on federal assistance programs may not undertake any activity in part or in full under this project.
