Renovation of a mixed-use development in Johnstown, Pennsylvania. Conceptual plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.
For the selection of Engineering Services related to HVAC upgrades. Scope of services includes: 1. Conduct a site visit to observe existing conditions. 2. Prepare a set of construction documents for public bidding. 3. Review the project on site with the School Board Building and Grounds Committee and attend one other review meeting with the Board of School Directors. 4. Assist the District with bidding by answering requests for information, attending the bid opening and reviewing the bids. 5. Inform the low responsible bidder of their approval by the School Board and prepare the AIA construction contract for the work. 6. Provide written comments on contractor prepared shop drawings and submittals. 7. Facilitate the construction project meetings, which are anticipated to be held once every two weeks through the course of the 3-month construction period. 8. Conduct a maximum of 14 weekly site visits during the construction phase. Half of those visits will be on the same day as job meetings. The purpose of these visits will be for responding to questions, observing work in place and preparing punch lists, etc. 9. Review all contractor Payment Applications The Board reserves the right to accept or reject any or all proposals received. The method of Contractor Selection has not been Determined at this time.
