Various Materials 2023 - Culverts Q & A deadline: Dec 05, 2022 11:00:00 AM EST Bid period to be from January 3, 2023 through June 30, 2023. Contract shall be for a period of five months from date of acceptance. However, contract may be renewed for one (1) additional six-month period provided both parties agree. 1. Polymer coated pipe shall meet ASHTO Specificaton M245 and M246 2. Polymer coated pipe shall be helical corrugations only. Ends of pipe shall be reformed to accommodate corrugated bands. 3. Thickness of polymer coating on the finished pipe shall be 0.010" on the interior and exterior surface. 4. Connecting bands shall be fully corrugated. Hardware (bolts and nuts), necessary gasket material and lubricants shall be furnished with each culvert section. All shall meet ASHTO requirements under specificaton # M245 and M246. 5. A twelve inch wide band shall be included with pipe diameters of 30" and below. A twenty four inch wide band shall be included with all pipe diameters larger than 30". All shall meet ASHTO specifications 7. Bidders must be able to furnish a minimum of 50 feet section with reformed ends to accommodate corrugated bands and minimum 60 feet section without reformed ends. 8. Culverts shall not be nested inside of each other when delivered. 9. Culverts shall be equipped with lifting lugs. The Ouachita Parish Police Jury reserves the right to waive defects and informalities in proposals, to reject any or all proposals, to accept such proposal as it may deem to be in its best interest, and to award the contract by items, combination of items, or by lot.
