Renovation of a retail development in Mount Rainier, Maryland. Conceptual plans call for the renovation of a retail development.
Project Description The Project targets a major shopping area in the City. The City's commercial district is in critical need of revitalization. The proposed concept design is to include the following types of improvements: > Exterior painting > Exterior finishes and materials > Reconfiguring of existing doors and entrances > Repairing or replacing existing storefront window systems > Repairing persistent exterior damage (water damage, rotting wood, etc.) > Exterior building and sign lighting > Adding business signage and wayfinding signage > Removing inappropriate business signs (vinyl signs, window signs that block interiorviews, etc.) The consultant will be expected to furnish the City with all concept design documents and plans. The consultant will be required to schedule and preside over progress meetings during the construction phase of the Project. The frequency of the meetings may vary depending on the progress of the work. The Consultant will be required to submit bi-weekly progress reports to the City.
