façade improvements for nine (9) storefronts located between 3402-3414 Rhode Island Avenue, 3415 Perry Street, and 2334 Varnum Street Questions should be sent to Ronald Hopkins, Director of Economic Development, rhopkins@mountrainiermd.org Mount Rainier Commercial Facade Improvement Project by Monday, May 12, 2025, and responses will be posted by Wednesday, May 14, 2025. The Project targets a major shopping areas within the City. The City's commercial districts are in critical need of revitalization. The proposed project is to include the following types of improvements: o Exterior painting o Exterior finishes and materials o Repairing persistent exterior damage (water damage, rotting wood, etc.) o Adding and/or replacing business signage, awnings and lighting (if needed) o Removing inappropriate business signs (vinyl signs, window signs that block interior views, etc.) The particular improvements to be made to the specifically targeted storefronts are shown in Exhibit A hereto. The contractor will prepare the targeted storefronts for application and procure and install all required materials, while ensuring that safety standards are met. The contractor will be required to schedule and preside over progress meetings with the Director of Economic Development during the entire Project. The frequency of the meetings may vary depending on the progress of the work
