Bid bond in the amount of 5% of the bid price The successful bidder will be required to furnish a Performance Bond in the amount of 100% of the contract price and a Payment Bond in the amount of 80% of the contract price. A pre-bid meeting will not be held for this project. The contractor must agree to commence the work on a date to be specified in a written "Notice to Proceed" from the City, anticipated to be no more than 30 days from the date of award, and to substantially complete the Project within 60 calendar days from commencement. The contract will include liquidated damages in the amount of one Three Hundred dollars ($300.00) per calendar day for each consecutive calendar day beyond the date of substantial completion. Bidders should have at least 5 years of successful experience with construction of projects of similar magnitude, preferably including substantial experience in Prince George's County, Maryland. The City reserves the right to reject any or all bids which is in any way incomplete or irregular, re-bid the entire solicitation, or enter into contracts with more than one Contractor. No City contractor may discriminate against any worker, employee, or applicant, or any member of the public because of religion, race or ethnicity, sex of sexual identification, age, physical or mental disability, perceived disability, or on the basis of an individual's membership in any other class protected by federal, state of local law. Discriminatory practices based upon the foregoing are contrary to the public policy of the City.
