This project consists of one or more of the mentioned improvements and estimated quantities throughout the City of Hays: 905 feet of 10" waterline along 55th Street from 230th Avenue to the Doonan Entrance; 20 feet of 10" waterline along 230th Avenue from 58th Street to the North; 865 feet of 2" waterline along 58th Street from 230th Avenue to the East; 105 feet of 1" water service line to the Doonan property. In addition, this project includes the installation of 1 new fire hydrant setting and 1 water meter setting that is located on 55th Street. The project will also include 850 feet of 8" sanitary sewer line along 55th Street from 230th Avenue to the East side of the Doonan entrance; 30 feet of 6" sanitary sewer service lines to service each tract along 55th Street; 2 sanitary sewer manholes along 55th Street. Each bid shall be accompanied by a cashier's check, a certified check or a bid bond, payable to the City of Hays, Kansas, in an amount not less than five percent (5%) of the total amount of the bid. The bidder to whom a contract is awarded in excess of $100,000.00 will be required to furnish a Contract Bond and Payment Bond executed on the specific forms and acceptable to the City of Hays, Kansas, each in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the total amount Bid. There will be no refund of the deposit. The contract documents become the property of the prospective bidder and are not returnable. City of Hays reserves the right to reject or accept any and all bids/proposals, to waive any irregularities in such bids/proposals, and to accept such bids/proposals that are the most responsive and best suits the City of Hays. No bid shall be withdrawn for a period of sixty (60) days subsequent to the opening of bids without the written consent of the City of Hays, Kansas.
