The Contractor shall furnish all labor, tools, equipment, supervision and specific materials
to perform the Work outlined below, as shown on the Contract Drawings, and as specified
in the Contract Documents for the Rocky Reach C-10 and C-11 Babbitted Bearing
Refurbishment.
The Contractor shall furnish all labor, supervision, tools, equipment and materials
required for the re-babbitting and machining of up to two (2) Generator Thrust Bearing
shoe assemblies (8 shoes per assembly), two (2) Generator Guide Bearing pad
assemblies (20 shoes per assembly), and two (2) Turbine Guide Bearings (3 segments
per assembly) for the Rocky Reach Hydroelectric Project Units C-10 and C-11. Further
requirements are stated in the Specifications.
The assemblies and bearings are currently located at Rocky Reach Dam. The District, at
its own cost, will be responsible for transporting the bearings to the Contractor's facility,
loading and unloading at Rocky Reach Dam. The Contractor shall be responsible at its
own cost for unloading at the Contractor's facility; duties; fees; taxes; and handling for all
required materials; loading and transporting to the District's Rocky Reach Dam.
The first set of babbitted bearings will be ready for shipment in approximately May 2023
and the second set of bearings will be ready for shipment in approximately January 2024.
The District will perform as-found inspections of the bearings to determine if refurbishment
is required for each of bearing assemblies prior to shipping to Contractor.
