The Scales Mound Fire Protection District (SMFPD) is looking for bids for increased paving around its training tower near the Apple Canyon Lake Fire Station. The area to be paved is 15,000 square feet. All paving will be with concrete, poured 6" thick. Concrete should be 4500 psi or better. Ail slabs should be sealed with CS-309 Cure and Seal or equivalent. Expansion joints should be sawed in 10' X 10' squares or less as soon as possible after pouring. All concrete slabs should be reinforced with minimum 4 lbs fiber mesh per yard or #4 rebar placed at 20" on center each way. Bid is to include all concrete, labor, reinforcing and miscellaneous materials needed to grade, compact, pour and finish slabs. Any gravel that is necessary to final grade slabs will be provided by SMFPD, but will be the Contractors responsibility to place and grade, This should be included in the final quote. Prevailing Wage Rates apply to this project and should be included in the final quote. Plans showing detailed placement of the concrete slabs will be available to pick up at the Scales Mound Fire Department. The sealed bid envelope shall be enclosed in a separate envelope addressed to "Scales Mound Fire Protection District, P.O. Box 183, Scales Mound, 1L 61075." SMFPD shall not be responsible for postal service delivery problems. The Scales Mound Fire Protection District Reserves the Right to Waive Formalities or to Reject Any or All Bids.
