The Town of Orangeville (the "Town") is seeking tenders from contractors with expertise as trained arborists to assess and perform maintenance work on town owned trees within the corporate boundaries. The Town requires many types of maintenance work including, but limited to: tree removal, tree trimming and pruning, stumping, tree reinforcement, tree assessments. The Town of Orangeville (the "Town") is a lower-tier municipality within the County of Dufferin with an estimated population of 30,000. The Town is inviting qualified proponents capable of supplying all labour, materials and equipment necessary to provide tree pruning, tree and stump removals, emergency storm damage services, and street tree inspections, including evaluations and certified arborist reports on an as required basis. The contract is expected to be established on January 1, 2023 and will have a term of two (2) years, subject to a potential renewal for an additional one (1) year. The price adjustment will be equal to the year-to-year unadjusted Consumer Price Index (CPI) published by the Bank of Canada, to a maximum of 5%. The index will be the November posting of the CPI from that year. The Consumer Price Index (CPI) adjustment is to be applied to the Total Bid Price set out in Schedule 1A of the Financial Bid Form for the second year of the contract (2024) and the renewal term (2025) if necessary.
