Demolition, site work, paving and new construction of a bridge / tunnel in Clay Center, Nebraska. Completed plans call for the demolition of a bridge / tunnel; for the construction of a bridge / tunnel; for site work for a bridge / tunnel; and for paving for a bridge / tunnel.

The Project includes the following Work: Furnishing all materials for and the construction of a single span Concrete Bridge including, but not limited to the following: structural steel, steel piling, steel sheet piling, concrete precast girders, concrete for bridge deck and abutments, bridge rail, fill, roadway materials, miscellaneous hardware and all other associated work as indicated on the drawings and within the specifications. Bidding Documents may be downloaded from the designated website. Prospective Bidders are urged to register with the designated website as a plan holder, even if Bidding Documents are obtained from a plan room or source other than the designated website in either electronic or paper format. The designated website will be updated periodically with addenda, lists of registered plan holders, reports, and other information relevant to submitting a Bid for the Project. All official notifications, addenda, and other Bidding Documents will be offered only through the designated website. Neither Owner nor Engineer will be responsible for Bidding Documents, including addenda, if any, obtained from sources other than the designated website. Prospective Bidders may obtain or examine the Bidding Documents at the Issuing Office and may obtain copies of the Bidding Documents from the Issuing Office as described below. Partial sets of Bidding Documents will not be available from the Issuing Office. Neither Owner nor Engineer will be responsible for full or partial sets of Bidding Documents, including addenda, if any, obtained from sources other than the Issuing Office. Pre-bid Conference There is no pre-bid conference for this project. Bid security shall be furnished in accordance with the Instruction to Bidders. The check(s) or bond(s) shall be made payable to Clay County Treasurer, Clay County, Nebraska, 111 W Fairfield Street, Clay Center, Nebraska 68933, as security that the bidder(s) to whom the award(s) are made will enter into contract to build the improvements bid upon and furnish the required bonds and insurance. Each successful bidder shall supply a Performance Bond and a Payment Bond executed by a corporate surety licensed in the State of Nebraska in an amount equal to 100 percent of the contract price as part of his contract. Clay County, in accordance with Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, 78 Stat. 252, 42 U.S.C. 2000d to 2000d-4 and Title 49, Code of Federal Regulations, Dept. of Transportation, Subtitle A, Office of Secretary, Part 21, Nondiscrimination in Federally assisted programs of the Dept. of Transportation issued pursuant to such Act, hereby notifies all bidden that it will affirmatively insure that in any contract entered into pursuant to this advertisement, minority business enterprises will be afforded full opportunity to submit bids in response to this invitation and will not be discriminated against on the grounds of race, color, or national origin, sex, age and disability/handicap in consideration for award. The Clay County Board of Supervisors reserves the right to reject any and all bids or waive any irregularities in bids received. Award of the Contract will be accordance with the County Purchasing Acts competitive bidding considerations as set forth in Neb.Rev.Stat. 23-3110 to 23-3114, and the Clay County Board of Supervisors will, at its discretion, award the contract on the basis of the lowest responsible bid received. The Clay County Board of Supervisors reserves the right to accept any bid which it deems most advantageous to the County, and to reject any or all bids submitted and to hold as many bids as it desires for consideration for a period of sixty (60) days after the bids are open.
