The successful bidder will be required to furnish and pay for a satisfactory performance and payment bond written by a company licensed to do business in Louisiana in an amount equal to 100% of the contract amount. The Thibodaux Housing Authority reserves the right to reject any or all bids for just cause in accordance with the provisions of Louisiana Law. No bid shall be withdrawn for a period of forty-five (45) days subsequent to the opening of bids without the consent of the Thibodaux Housing Authority This project is classified as Building Construction and all contractors must meet the requirements of the Contractors licensing law, State of Louisiana. For any bid submitted in the amount of $50,000 or more, a Contractor shall certify that he is licensed under the provisions of this chapter and show his license number on the bid envelope. Liquidated damages shall be assessed for every day beyond the date of completion, as established in the Supplementary / Special Conditions, in the amount of One Hundred Fifty Dollars ($150.00) per consecutive calendar day.
