Site work and new construction of a civil project in Hazard, Kentucky. Conceptual plans call for the construction of a water / sewer project; and for site work for a water / sewer project.

The Hyden-Leslie Water District is soliciting qualifications from consulting engineers/architects for professional engineering/architectural services on the Phase III A Water System Improvements and Phase III B Water System Improvements Project. The Hyden-Leslie Water District is pursuing the rehabilitation of the existing dam structure of the raw water source located on the Middlefork of the Kentucky River. Project also includes installation of VFD's at the plant as well as steps. Install cover and piping at drying beds. New pump station at Nebraska Lane and Middlefork. Replacing pump stations at Essie, Wilder, Honeysuckle Lane, Muncy Creek, Hurricane, Wolfe Creek and Glady Branch. A new water booster at Nebraska Lane and Middlefork. Project will also add a 200,000-gallon water tank to be installed adjacent to the existing Muncy Creek Tank. Repair 1,000,000-gallon Dollar Store Tank. Repair 209,000-gallon Spur Tank. Install six leak detection meters in the existing distribution system to aid in water loss elimination. Installation of a new waterline at Phillips Fork, Yeaddiss, Head of Cutshin, Stinnett Wendover and Sams Branch. The Hyden-Leslie Water District is seeking the technical assistance of a qualified Engineering/Architectural consulting firm to assist them in the development, planning, design, and construction observation of qualified projects. Minimum requirements include previous experience in engineering/architecture on similar projects. The Hyden-Leslie Water District reserves the right to reject any or all proposals. Attention is particularly called to the requirements as to conditions of employment to be observed under the contract, Section 3, Segregated Facility, Section 109, Title VI, Section 504 and EO 11246. Local, minority, and female owned firms are particularly encouraged to participate.
