Site work and paving for a sidewalk / parking lot in New London, Connecticut. Completed plans call for site work for a sidewalk / parking lot; and for paving for a sidewalk / parking lot.

The State of Connecticut Judicial Branch, Purchasing Services Office is requesting quotations for Replacement of the Parking Lot Plaza Pavement at 70 Huntington Street, New London, CT in accordance with the terms, conditions, Project Manual and Project Drawings contained herein. The scope of work bid under the specifications contained herein shall, in general, consist of the major items required to complete the work. Minor work and work incidental to or arising from any part of this specification may not be listed herein but shall be performed under this contract as may be necessary for the full completion of this project. The Contractor shall, at minimum, provide the following: Removal of existing Plaza pavement areas within the Plaza and preparation of subgrade. Installation of erosion controls. Installation of both new concrete and stamped concrete. Installation of limited bituminous pavement, line striping and resetting of granite curbing Miscellaneous site improvements. To provide replacement of the Parking Lot Plaza Pavement at a Judicial Branch Removal of existing Plaza pavement; installation of new concrete and stamped concrete Plaza pavement; installation of erosion controls. Material testing is included in the contract. The contractor shall carry an allowance of $6,000 for testing and other costs as directed by the owner Owner reserves the right to stop work if it becomes disruptive to the daily business/operation of the facility The Judicial Branch will assess against the contract as liquidated damages and not by way of penalty, the sum specified in the project information section for each day beyond the date given for completion of the project. Liquidated Damages: Five hundred dollars ($500.00) per calendar day. The Owner (Judicial Branch), at their discretion, may waive liquidated damages, or any portion thereof. Pre-Construction Meeting: The Contractor will attend a Pre-Construction Meeting before starting construction as scheduled by the Construction Administrator and Project Coordinator. Progress Meetings: The Construction Administrator and Project Coordinator will conduct progress meetings at the project site at regular intervals as agreed upon at the preconstruction conference.
