Demolition, site work and new construction of a municipal facility in Dekalb, Illinois. Conceptual plans call for the demolition of a municipal facility; for the construction of a municipal facility; and for site work for a municipal facility.
City of DeKalb Request for Proposals for the Redevelopment of a City-Owned Property on the South Side of the Downtown. There are two buildings on the property: the former post office building at 330 Grove St. and the adjacent building at 217 S. Fourth St. The RFP also includes the parking lot on the west side of the property. Those submitting proposals must specify their plans for using the property. This includes whether it will be used for a commercial or non-profit purpose and whether the buildings will be demolished. Residential uses will not be considered. The method of contractor selection has not been determined at this time.
