In general, the Project is an addition to and remodel of an existing school building. Work includes concrete foundations and slabs; masonry; structural steel, steel joists and decking; spray foam insulation; metal siding; EPDM roofing; tie-ins to existing steel roofing; hollow metal frames, flush wood doors, aluminum storefront coiling doors, and fire-rated aluminum entrances; gypsum assemblies; acoustical ceiling, painting, information specialties, plastic toilet compartments and accessories; and metal lockers. Plumbing work includes: water, sanitary, storm and gas. Mechanical work includes roof top unit, unit ventilators, and air distribution devices. Electrical work includes: lighting, power, and low voltage systems. Site work for the project includes: demolition of site components, modifications to gas, water, sanitary, storm drain, electric utilities; paving, grading landscaping, chain-link and decorative fencing. Lump-sum Bids will be received on a SINGLE PRIME CONSTRUCTION CONTRACT FOR THE work described in the bidding documents. The owner will obtain separate contracts for Abatement/Demolition of an existing portion of the existing building and construction of an accessory building. HSR Associates is responsible for distribution of addenda only to those who have requested project documents from HSR in formats described above. HSR Associates will make AutoCAD files available to the Contractor following award of contract Bid Security in the amount of Five Percent (5%) of the maximum amount of the Bid must accompany each Bid as described in the Project Manual, Instructions to Bidders. The Owner reserves the right to waive irregularities and to reject any or all Bids. Bids may only be withdrawn in accordance with the Project Manual, Instructions to Bidders.
